The Antonio Lozano Reading Club, Casa Africa is to comment on the novel «The Bluebird Enigma», by the Ghanian writer Nii Ayikwei Parkes

The Antonio Lozano Reading Club, Casa Africa, is to begin the “school year” with a detective novel by Nii Ayikwey Parkes, set in the suburbs of Accra, Ghana, in a mysterious rural area.
The novel is entitled "The Bluebird Enigma", the author's first novel which was published in Spanish and Catalan in 2017 by the Club Editor publishing house, with translation by Magdalena Palmer and Xavier Pàmies, respectively.
On this occasion, in view of the special circumstances we are all aware of, the club meeting will not be attended by members in person as usual, but will be a virtual meeting, using the Teams platform and will count on the participation of the author.
The meeting will take place on 18th September, 2020 at 6:00 pm (Canary Is. Local time)
The novel, finalist for the Commonwealth Prize in 2010, is the debut work of the writer Nii Ayikwei Parkes, born in the United Kingdom but brought up in Ghana. The author defines himself principally as a story teller. He is also a poet, editor and socio-cultural activist.
Antonio Lozano Reading Club, Casa África:
The sessions are co-ordinated by our colleague, Ángeles Jurado, journalist and writer.
The Club has limited space, so we would ask those interested in participating in the sessions to send an e-mail to cultura@casafrica.es. Once you have been confirmed as a member, you will be able to take a copy of the next work together with the indications on how to read it.
