2nd Equatorial Guinea African Film Festival

Del 1 al 13 de febrero 2011

Considering the great success of the first edition and in light of the great expectations that have been awakened in the country, Casa África, together with the Tarifa African Film Festival (FCAT) and the Spanish Cultural Centres in Malabo and Bata, has put into motion this second edition of the Equatorial Guinea African Film Festival, which will take place in both the Spanish Cultural Centres as well as other spaces that exist in the cities mentioned above.

This initiative is part of Spain´s cultural cooperation activities in Equatorial Guinea and it will bring African films to Guineans, who on those dates will be able to view an important sample of film productions from their own continent.

This festival emerges from the initiatives of the Spanish Cultural Centres in Malabo and Bata (CCEM and CCEB), the Al Tarab NGDO (the entity that organises the Tarifa African Film Festival), and Casa África, in collaboration with the Spanish Embassy in Equatorial Guinea and sponsored by the Agencia Española de Cooperación para el Desarrollo (AECID, Spanish Agency of International Cooperation for Development).

The festival will take place from the 1st to the 13th of February 2011, and although the film showings are its central focus, there will also be a series of parallel activities that aim to enrich this cultural meeting that hopes to consolidate itself as an undisputed event for the first half of February in Equatorial Guinea´s cultural panorama.
