On January 7, 8 and 9 of 2010, the 5th Edition of the African Film Festival will take place in Albacete, which will be held in city´s Film Library. The film showings will begin at 8:00 pm, and admission is free and open to all.

Once again, this year the non-profit Medicus Mundi of Castilla-La Mancha proposes a closer look at the African reality through its films.  This year, it will show documentaries centred on a political-historic view of situations experienced in Northern Africa, the Sub-Saharan region and in the south of the black continent.

The festival will be carried out thanks to the organisation of the non-profit Medicus Mundi Castilla-La Mancha, with the collaboration of Casa Africa and Cinenomada, and with the sponsorship of the Albacete City Hall.

The following films will be shown:

  • Cuba, una odisea africana / Cuba, an African Odyssey / Cuba, une odysée africaine, by Jihan El Tahri (France, 2007)
  • Ouled Lenine, by Nadia El Fani (Tunisia/France, 2007)
