Mauritania, a country of opportunities

From 16th to 18th July 2012
Mauritania, un país de oportunidades

These political-economic conferences are organised together with Iberia, the event's sponsor, who launches a new route that will link the airports of Madrid, Gran Canaria and Nuakchot, which will effectively improve trade relations between both countries.

Mauritania is a neighbouring country, key to the region's safety, which has enjoyed political stability for several years and is receiving important amounts of income from mining and oil companies, as well as loans and grants for large works and projects from financial organisations such as the World Bank.

The aim of these conferences is to present Mauritania as a country of opportunities, to get to know its current situation and also about the presence of Spanish businesses. Those attending can learn about tenders for the country that have funding from the EDF, WB or AfDB, which will help large projects to be undertaken, opening up opportunities in sectors such as health, transport, infrastructures or energy.

The sessions will take place in

  • Gran Canaria Nelson Mandela Auditorium at Casa África (Alfonso XIII, 5. Las Palmas de Gran Canaria) on 16/07/2012 at 12:15h
  • Tenerife Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation on 17/07/2012 at 11:00h
  • Madrid  CEOE Headquarters (Diego de León, 50) on 18/07/2012 at 12:30h
