The Tourism Forum in Africa, Investour, returns to FITUR on 19th January as a privileged meeting place where African and Spanish entrepreneurs can establish partnerships and look for joint business opportunities. This is this initiative's third consecutive edition, which is already consolidated and also coincides with a moment of crisis where the internationalisation option for Spanish companies seems particularly relevant.

Investour is a project that came about from the collaboration between the World Tourism Organisation (WTO), the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) and Casa África. ICEX and the Sub-Saharan Work Group created as part of the Internationalisation Interregional Council, the Spanish Confederation of Business Organisations (CEOE) and chambers of commerce from various communities collaborate with this initiative.

Investour is characterised by meetings in the format of Business to Business (B2B) and for involving a different geographic region in each edition, although all the countries in Africa take part in the initiative. The East Africa Community (EAC) and the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC) are the invited regions in 2012, as well as the countries in both regions: Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Democratic Republic of Congo, Chad, Cameroon, Central Africa Republic and Cameroon.
